Chasubles & Dalmatics

Chasubles and dalmatics are used regularly in the Episcopal and Roman Catholic traditions, and often in the Lutheran traditions.  Designed to be in the color of the day/season, they include an understole.  Chasubles (for priests and pastors) and Dalmatics (for deacons) are worn while serving at the altar during the Eucharist. A solemn set includes a chasuble with understole, dalmatic with understole, and a tunicle without understole in addition to a burse and veil, all matching.

Positively Repurposed vestments are designed using embroidery from older vestments.  Oftentimes the embroidery is still beautiful and can be carefully transferred onto a new vestment. Such a wonderful way to honor our past artisans who gave of their talents to tell God's Extraordinary Story!

Repairs

It is prudent that we check our vestments regularly and make any repairs necessary.  If these repairs are out of the scope of the attending altar guild, Exodus39 offers some repairs, depending on the age and condition of the fabric or embroidery.
